- Important Points -
- There will be a significant amount of walking required (1.6 km one way) to get to and from the Snow Monkey Park, along an unsealed forest trail so please wear appropriate shoes/boots. In winter - from December to March - temperatures will be cold - possibly below 0℃ - and the trail and park will be affected by snow and ice. Please ensure you are appropriately addressed for such conditions.
- This tour includes a significant amount of walking and may not be appropriated for mobility impaired guests or those using wheelchairs. Please contact us in advance to discuss suitability.
- During the winter it is common to see the monkeys enjoying the hot spring bath, however from spring up to autumn there will be times where the monkeys play or eat in the water, however please note that the monkeys are wild animals and there is no guarantee that there will be monkeys in the bath. Please also note that there are a few days in the year that the monkeys might not come down to the park or come in small numbers.
- The transport used for this tour depends on the size of the tour group. For smaller tours groups, we will use the Nagaden Limited Express train service. For large groups, we may arrange our own transport i.e. small tour bus, from/to Nagano Station and all listed destinations.
- Other -
- This tour includes lunch at Monzen Terrace Enya. On rare occasions it may not be possible to use this restaurant in which case we would switch to another, comparable location
- Infants (0-5) are free of charge. An infant lunch is not included and the order will be made directly to the restaurant according to your needs.
- there is a transportation service from Hakuba（departure at 8:20） to Nagano JR Station.
（Only for winter season < in the middle of December ～in the middle of March>）
- Cancellation Fee -
In cases where the customer cancels the contract after the contract has been completed, 1 customer will be charged a cancellation fee from their travel fee at the following rates. In cases where multiple people are participating and a portion of the customers cancel their contracts, we will charge the remaining customers a fee based on the difference according to the change in the number of people (around 1 vehicle/1 room per person) using transport and accommodation facilities.

Course details
**WINTER ONLY** HAKUBA PICKUP: first pickup at Hakuba Tokyu Hotel before the second pickup at the Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal at 07:55 and third pickup at Echoland Hakuba Base Camp at 08:05. From there the bus heads toward Nagano City and the main pickup point
09：35 Meet at JR Nagano Station and head to Zenko-ji・・・ 10：00 Arrive at Zenkoji-Temple and be guided around・・・11:30 Enjoy a guided ‘sake’ tasting followed by lunch at Monzen Terrace Enya・・・13：00 Depart Nagano and head to the monkey park＝＝＝ 14：00 Arrive nearby the park and walk along the forest trail・・・14：40 Enter the park and enjoy observing the monkeys going about their lives・・・15：40 Depart the park and walk back out along the forest trail・・・ 16：20 Depart the park and return to Nagano ＝＝＝ 17：35 Tour conlcludes at JR Nagano JR Station. (**WINTER ONLY**guests returning to Hakuba will then be shuttled back to Hakuba with an estimated arrival time of 18:30-18:45)*.

Zenko-ji Temple
As a registered National Treasure, the temple is the most important cultural site in Nagano! A place of true historic importance, full of legends and myths, you will be guided around the temple before (time permitting) your guide will give you the opportunity to explore the surrounding precinct of smaller temples, shops, and food by yourself.
Guided ‘Sake’ Tasting
Home to a huge number of breweries, Nagano is synonymous with sake and no visit to the region is complete without delving into Japan’s most famous beverage. Your guide will treat you to tasting before, introducing you to the complex world of sake before sitting down to an early lunch!
